My Big Fat Dna Metaphor
a: Chromosome ~
b: books in a library
What: All the chromosomes in a cell are like a library containing many books, which are the chromosomes. In the case of humans the library consist of 23 books. Each of these books contains many paragraphs which you may compare to the individual genes in the cell. Within each of these paragraphs there are many words which you may compare to the individual DNA bases. Of course the DNA library only has 4 words, but that enough to keep the system working just fine.
